Babcock University receives approval for new academic programs from the NUC; The Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) has given Babcock University permission to start six new undergraduate academic programs that will award bachelor’s degrees in science and engineering beginning with the 2022–2023 academic year.

The School of Engineering and the School of Environmental Studies are the new institutions.

The following are the newly introduced academic programs: Architecture, estate management, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and computer engineering are listed in that order.

The NUC also approved the university’s request to start its master’s degree and postgraduate diploma programs in social work.

Babcock University was the first private university to open in Nigeria in 1999, and since then it has consistently offered seamless academic programs and a conducive learning environment.

Two colleges, eleven schools, and a teaching hospital are now located there (BUTH).
