JAMB approves cut-off marks for 2023 admissions; The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the cut-off marks for the 2023/2024 admissions. This decision was made during the 2023 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, held at the National Judicial Institute, Abuja, on June 24th, 2023.
GAIN ADMISSION INTO ANY NIGERIAN UNIVERSITY WITHOUT JAMB – REGISTER FOR IJMB TODAY
For admission into universities in Nigeria, the minimum JAMB score required is set at 140. The minimum cut-off marks for Polytechnics and Colleges of Education have been fixed at 100. However, individual institutions have the flexibility to set their own cut-off marks, as long as they do not admit any candidate who scores below the stipulated benchmark.
Additionally, JAMB has approved the fee for Post-UTME screening to be N2,000. Institutions interested in conducting any form of screening can do so, but the charge for the screening should not exceed N2,000.
Following the announcement of the cut-off marks, public tertiary institutions will commence the sale of Post-UTME forms and announce their screening dates. Candidates are advised to stay alert for these announcements and prepare accordingly.
