This initiative aims to provide support to students enrolled in various institutions, including Colleges of Education, Polytechnics, Maritime Academy, and Universities.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Academic Performance: Applicants must maintain a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) as outlined below:
  • GPA 3.5 and Above: Award amount of N100,000
  • GPA 3.0 – 3.49: Award amount of N75,000
  • GPA 2.5 – 2.99: Award amount of N50,000

Selection Process:

Two qualified applicants from each of the 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, will be selected to receive the scholarship.

Application Process:

Interested applicants must complete the online application form available on the AKISAN web portal.

• Required Documents: Applicants are required to submit the following documents along with their application:
  • Certificate of origin
  • Transcript from the 2023 or most recent school year for undergraduate students
  • West African Examinations Council (WAEC) result for 1st-year undergraduate students only

Deadline: The deadline for submitting applications is March 31, 2024.

Note: Past recipients of the AKISAN scholarship are ineligible to apply.
