Application Procedure:

Please follow the steps below to apply:

1. Visit the official Akwa Ibom State University Postgraduate Portal at AKSU PG Portal.
2. Click on the “Start Now” button to begin your application.
3. Select “ENROL” and proceed to choose the “Postgraduate” option.
4. Enter your valid Phone Number.
5. On the next page, enter the last six (6) digits of the Phone Number you provided in step 4.
6. Fill in your basic details, including Surname, First Name, Other Names, Date of Birth, Gender, and Marital Status.
7. Select the card payment option to pay the application fee of NGN20,000.00 using your debit card.

After Payment:

a) Return to steps 1-5.

b) Complete the online registration form by providing all required information.

c) Print the completed registration form.

d) Scan and upload the following documents:

• Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) or its equivalent
• Degree/HND/OND Certificate
• SGC/PGDE (For M.Sc. applicants only)
• M.Sc./M.A/M.Ed./MBA (For Ph.D. applicants only)
• NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificate
• Birth Certificate
• Certificate of Origin

1. Click the “SUBMIT” button after filling out the form.
2. PRINT the Registration Confirmation slip as proof of registration.

Important Notes:

1. Akwa Ibom State University does not admit candidates for Academic Masters programmes on a Part-Time basis.
2. Applicants must send the printed form, along with their credentials, in an envelope addressed to: The Secretary,
   School of Postgraduate Studies,

3. Applicants must return their completed forms with a Thesis/Dissertation proposal captured on the prescribed School of Postgraduate Studies Proposal Sheet. The proposal should include the following: Title, Aim/Objectives, Relevance of Study, Methodology, Expected Results, among others.
4. Candidates should request that their relevant academic transcripts be forwarded to the following address at the time of form purchase: The Secretary,

   Akwa Ibom State In addition, completed reference forms should be forwarded to the email address specified in the admission form. Admission will not be offered without transcripts and completed reference forms.
5. Ensure that all provided email addresses are valid.
6. All information uploaded and provided must be accurate to avoid disqualification.

Closing Date:

All completed application forms, along with uploaded copies of relevant credentials and the application fee receipt, must be submitted online no later than December 22, 2023.
