BSU Admission Into Preliminary French Programme For 2022/2023 Session

Entry Requirement

Those seeking admission into the Preliminary French Programme (in the future called Pre-French) must fulfil the following conditions:

(a) They must have at least five (5) credits including the English Language at SSCE, (WAEC/NECO), GCE or their equivalent

(b) Those with little or no French at the Secondary School level or its equivalent can apply provided they fulfil (a) above.

(c) Applicants must have an interest in making a career in French or using their knowledge of French to develop themselves in other fields. 

Duration of the Programme
The Pre-French Programme shall last for two semesters or one academic session.

NB: Candidates must understand that on successful completion of the programme, they can only be placed into the B.A. French programme and not in any other course in the Department or any other University Department.

Method of Application

Interested candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Five thousand Naira (N5,000.00) only into Sterling Bank A/c No. 0029278273. The sale of forms commences on the 17th April 2023 and shall end on the 19th May, 2023.

 Forms purchased after 31st July 2021, will cost Six Thousand (N6,000.00) Naira only.

On presentation of the Bank Teller, application forms are available from the Office of the Program’s Coordinator. Completed forms must be returned to: on or before May 19, 2023, along with photocopies of applicable certifications and credentials.
