With a grant covering the years 2023-2029, the GLOBED program offers a unique international education focusing on global education policy and international development.

Erasmus Mundus GLOBED Scholarships 2024

Who Can Apply:

  • Academic Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Educational Sciences or a relevant field (preferably Sociology, Social/Cultural Anthropology, Political Sciences, Human Geography, and International Relations). The degree program should last a minimum of three years and correspond to 180 ECTS.
  • Academic Qualifications:
    • Minimum grade average of 7/10 (or equivalent of C) or GPA of 2.75/4.
  • English Proficiency:
    • High English language proficiency demonstrated through a Secure English Language Test (SELT) result at the required levels.

Selection Criteria: Admissions are centrally administered by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, with a qualitative assessment conducted jointly by the four universities of the Consortium. Applicants are encouraged to check the FAQ section for comprehensive information before applying.

Where Will the Award Be Taken? The GLOBED project is developed by a consortium of four European universities: Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, University of Glasgow, University of Bremen, and University of Cyprus.

Number of Awards: The Consortium will offer up to 24 scholarships per edition, including regional scholarships and scholarships for students with special needs.

Benefits of Erasmus Mundus GLOBED Scholarships: All scholarship holders, regardless of residence or nationality, will receive €1,400 per month for the entire two-year program.

The Erasmus+ scholarship covers subsistence, mobility and installation costs, registration at the four consortium universities, and worldwide health insurance.

How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit the following:

  • Identification (copy of a valid passport).
  • Europass CV.
  • Academic qualifications (official copies of diplomas and transcripts, along with English or Spanish translations).
  • English proficiency certification (TOEFL, Cambridge Proficiency Examination Advanced Certificate, or IELTS).
  • Letter of motivation.
  • Recommender details.
