NORD’s agreement to build their automobile manufacturing and assembling hub in UNILAG should be the biggest news in a new Nigeria.

I don’t think people fully understand what this means for the Engineering Department, the University and Nigeria at large.

This is the first time in Africa that an automobile manufacturing company will situate their hub on a campus.

Students from Engineering, Tech, Sales, Business and other fields across all faculties will gain relevant and real experience in the automobile manufacturing industry.

The thousands that will benefit from this valuable advantage will go on to make major differences that will transform our automobile sector, shifting us from over-reliance on foreign-used vehicles to the comfort of brand new, Nigerian made vehicles of international standards.
