Mofe Damijo popularly known as RMD is a Nigerian actor, writer, producer, lawyer and former journalist. Born on 6th of July 1961.
1. Educational background
The veteran actor attended Midwest College, Warri and Anglican Grammar School and also was a member of the drama club.
He enrolled at the University of Benin to continue his education and studied theatre Arts. In 1997 Mofe Damijo returned to the University of Lagos to study Law and graduated in 2004.
2. Once a commissioner
Mofe Damijo was once a commissioner for culture and Tourism in Delta State in 2009, his tenure ended in 2015.
3. Sunday school teacher
It will surprise you to know that the actor would have become a lecturer at a university if he wasn’t a movie star.
RMD taught as a Sunday school teacher for over a decade.
4. Once a journalist
RMD has tried his hands at a couple of things, one of those ventures includes Journalism.
Before joining the entertainment industry, he worked with the defunct Concord newspaper and Metro magazine as a reporter.
5. Soap opera
After graduating from the University and also working with the Concord newspaper and Metro magazine,Mofe Damijo took part in a television soap opera in the late 80’s called Ripples.
6. Marital life
Mofe Damijo remarried in the year 2000 to a former journalist Jumobi Adegbesan after the death of his first wife, May Ellen-Ezekiel.
7. Awards
In 2005 he won Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role
In 2012 he won the Best of Nollywood Award for special recognition
In 2015 he also won the African Magic Viewers Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor
In 2016 he won the 12th Africa Movie Academy Award for lifetime Achievement.
8. Favorite Food
Mofe Damijo’s favorite food is beans and plantain He was asked during an interview with Pulse but he has changed the diet plan for health reasons.
9. Dream Role
Mofe Damijo can be described as one of those actors who delivers one hundred per cent and has literally played every role you can think of in Nollywood movies. Well, the Delta state-born actor doesn’t see it that way, he said there is still one role he hasn’t played.
RMD revealed during an interview with Pulse that he would love to play god, he has played the devil in one of his soon-to-be-released movies.

As young and handsome as Mofe Damijo is, He is also a grandfather to two adorable grandchildren, he has one of the most beautiful families in the celebrity world.
