2 Killed, Others Injured In Anambra Nightclub | Video

There was chaos at Porsche Nightclub in Oba, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, when unidentified armed hoodlums stormed the venue, resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals and multiple injuries.

The incident unfolded late on Sunday during a lively gathering of fun seekers at the night club. According to an eyewitness named Emeka, the armed assailants tried to abduct the club owner but faced resistance from security personnel. In response, the gunmen resorted to indiscriminate shooting, fatally stabbing a security officer who opposed their attempt to seize the club owner.

Another resident, who chose to remain anonymous, reported that the situation caused panic, leading residents to flee in different directions. Those who had left the community for various reasons refrained from returning until the following morning.

The sudden and intense shooting claimed numerous lives, and one security officer was beheaded during the altercation. Anambra State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident on Monday, stating that the police responded to a distress call. Unfortunately, by the time security operatives arrived at the scene, the assailants had already fled. Two unidentified corpses were recovered, and two vigilantes, along with hotel security guards, sustained fatal injuries. Three other individuals suffered gunshot wounds.

Ikenga assured that the police were closely monitoring the situation, emphasizing that calm had been restored in the Oba community. Eyewitnesses provided valuable information, and while no arrests had been made at that time, the police were actively pursuing leads to bring the perpetrators to justice. The community members expressed their willingness to cooperate with the authorities to aid in the ongoing investigation.
