The Benue State University has become aware of a fraudulent online/social media platform (Opera News) spreading false information that the University has established a Cut-Off Point for the 2023/2024 admission exercise and is asking potential candidates to purchase an application form. Regrettably, the fake news has been widely circulated on various platforms.
The University would like to notify the public, including potential candidates, that it has not yet initiated any process for the 2023/2024 admission exercise and that the aforementioned publication is the handiwork of scammers.
The general public is advised to disregard the publication in its entirety.
The University will employ its official communication channels to notify potential applicants and the general public of the commencement of the process at the appropriate time.
Furthermore, the University urges the public to regularly visit http://www.bsum.edu.ng or contact the official line provided on the University portal to seek clarification or authenticate any information on admission exercise.
