EXPLOSION AT A GAS PLANT NEAR RCCG CAMP

In the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, a gas plant burst not far from the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s (RCCG) global headquarters.

According to the information we collected, the explosion in the Mowe region caused a panic among the locals. RCCG does not control the gas plant, but it is near to the Redemption Camp.

The explosion was confirmed by Nosa Okunbor, spokeswoman for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).

“The gas explosion happened right before the main entrance of Redeemed. Interestingly, the item is not owned by RCCG; rather, it is simply by it, according to Okunbor. It is close to a gas station in a busy neighborhood.

Additionally, Sun Contractor Project Services Limited was named as the explosion site in a statement made by the director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Adeseye Margaret.

The statement said in part, “The fire, which was reported at 11:22 hours on Monday, was put out by the Alausa and Ilupeju fire units, leaving four stationed gas trucks severely burned.

“As the fire has been put out, there have been no reports of injuries or fatalities. As of the time of this report, a preliminary investigation is ongoing and will be made public, therefore the cause of the fire is unknown.
