Imo road crash claimed lives of eight family members: Police

Mr. Ahiole reported that a tragic auto crash claimed the lives of eight family members when their Sienna vehicle collided with a stationary truck laden with rods at the Amanwozuzu junction in the Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.

The Divisional Police Officer for Ikeduru LGA, Lucky Ahiole, officially confirmed this unfortunate incident to journalists in Owerri on Friday. According to Mr. Ahiole, the accident occurred around 3:00 p.m., resulting in the fatal outcome for the occupants of the Sienna car.

Describing the specifics of the collision, he explained that the Sienna vehicle, carrying the family members, collided with a stationary truck carrying rods, leading to the tragic loss of lives.

In his words, “Eight people died, and we have taken them to a morgue. We had to break the Sienna vehicle to bring out the dead bodies.”
