Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, has highlighted the formidable talents of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen and Georgian footballer Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as the players his team needs to keep a close eye on during their upcoming UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday.

During a press conference on Monday leading up to the highly-anticipated match, the experienced Italian manager praised the quality exhibited by Napoli’s forwards over the past several months.

Ancelotti remarked, “They are exceptional forwards who have truly made their mark in the last year, showcasing their excellence and establishing themselves as top-tier players. They possess incredible talents with unique attributes. Kvaratskhelia excels in one-on-one situations, while Osimhen is a constant threat.”

Ancelotti also stressed the importance of his team delivering a disciplined and well-rounded performance to secure a favorable outcome. He acknowledged that facing one of Italy’s premier teams would be a demanding challenge, given Napoli’s impressive performances from the previous season.

“We’re going up against one of the finest teams in Italy. They had a remarkable campaign last year, and this will be a fiercely contested match because they boast real quality, individual skills, and the home crowd will provide tremendous support. To secure a positive result, we must display discipline and play a comprehensive game. If we can replicate our performance from the match against Girona, we’ll achieve a favorable outcome,” Ancelotti affirmed.

In reference to the outstanding form of English midfielder Jude Bellingham, who has been making waves, Ancelotti stated, “Bellingham has adapted seamlessly. He is demonstrating the remarkable qualities he possesses. Whether or not someone considers him the best in the world is inconsequential. In my view, we have the finest team in the world, with every player contributing. I’m delighted to have Bellingham as part of our squad.”

As reported by Student Village, Victor Osimhen aims to maintain his impressive goal-scoring streak by adding another goal in the UEFA Champions League. Since joining Napoli for a record €70 million three years ago from Lille, Osimhen has notched up an impressive tally of 64 goals and 15 assists in 109 appearances across all competitions, setting an African record.

Osimhen showcased his prowess in the Champions League last season by scoring five goals for Napoli. In the current league campaign, he has already found the back of the net five times in seven appearances. Napoli’s journey in the previous Champions League edition concluded in the quarter-finals, with Serie A rivals AC Milan emerging victorious.

It’s worth noting that Napoli’s track record against Real Madrid has seen them lose three out of their last four encounters, with a solitary draw occurring in the 1987/88 first-round, second-leg fixture in Naples.
