Nami Zarringhalam, the Chairman of TrueCaller, introduced the new Country Managers for Nigeria and Colombia. In his statement, Zarringhalam highlighted the importance of local expertise and regional knowledge, emphasizing the company’s ambitions to grow in African and Latin American markets, deliver caller ID and spam blocking services, and cater to the diverse businesses operating in these regions.

Ogochukwu Onwuzurike, the newly appointed Country Manager for Nigeria, brings a wealth of experience to TrueCaller. She previously served as the Sales Director for Africa at MetaMap, specializing in identity verification services. Prior to that, she worked as a Business Development Manager for emerging markets at Interswitch. Her career began in the banking industry as an executive trainee at Zenith Bank.

TrueCaller, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, has been gradually expanding its global user base. The company originally focused on the Indian market but now boasts over 100 million monthly active users outside of India.

The appointment of a dedicated Country Manager in Nigeria underscores TrueCaller’s commitment to strengthening its presence in one of its key African markets.
