**Job Vacancy: Registrar at Bayero University, Kano (BUK)**

**Qualifications:**

Candidates must meet the following qualifications and criteria:
– A graduate with a good honours degree from a recognized University.
– Possession of Postgraduate qualification and membership of professional bodies would be an added advantage.
– At least fifteen (15) years of administrative experience, with at least ten (10) years at a University level.
– Must hold a position of Deputy Registrar or higher.
– Age must not exceed 60 years on appointment.
– Must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant.
– Should command respect and possess the ability to provide leadership and offer appropriate advice on matters affecting the University.

**Duties:**

– As the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, the Registrar is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University.
– Serves as Secretary to Council, the Senate, the Congregation, and Convocation.

**Salary and Conditions of Service:**
The successful candidate will be entitled to the salary and conditions of service applicable to a Registrar in a Federal University in Nigeria.

**Tenure:**
The Registrar shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only, effective from the date of appointment by the Governing Council of the University.
