A single-vehicle incident in which a middle-aged woman died in Calabar has been reported by Maikano Hassan, sector commander of the FRSC in Cross River.
The collision happened on Sunday.According to Mr. Hassan, speeding was what led to the collision.
He described how the Toyota Highlander the woman was driving skidded off the road and into a ditch near the highway in the one and only collision on Murtala Mohammed Road.
Despite being taken to a local hospital right afterwards, the woman was pronounced dead a few minutes later as a result of her injuries, according to the FRSC official.
