About the Award:
The Aspire Institute at Harvard University is committed to transforming the lives of young adults globally who face social and financial adversity.
The Aspire Emerging Leaders Program is a fully funded leadership development initiative designed to empower future leaders to create positive impacts in their communities.
Eligibility:
This program is open to students with backgrounds of social and financial adversity who meet the following criteria:
- Ages 18-26
- From a low-income background
- First-generation university attendees (parents and/or primary caregivers did not complete a bachelor’s level degree)
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or recently graduated (within three years) OR
- Education impacted by a natural disaster and/or armed conflict (e.g., refugees or displaced persons)
Number of Awards: Up to 60 students
Value of Harvard University Aspire Emerging Leaders Program:
Participants will engage in a comprehensive program that includes self-paced and live seminars, courses led by world-class faculty, case-study discussion groups, and mentorship and grant opportunities.
The multidisciplinary curriculum, curated by Harvard faculty, provides exposure to a variety of experiences. Notably, participants will connect with a diverse community of future leaders, fostering collaboration across continents and intellectual interests.
