The ICPC filed an 18-count complaint against Ojerinde alleging corruption in the misappropriation of public monies worth more than N5.2 billion in 2021. He was given bail in the amount of N200 million after entering a not-guilty plea to the charges.

Jimoh Olabisi, a former Deputy Director at JAMB and a witness for the ICPC, claimed in court on Wednesday, January 25, that Ojerinde exploited him to siphon federal government monies, leading to his re-arrest in Abuja on Thursday, January 26.
