Isaac Olaolu Akinyele Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship Awards; In commemoration of the enduring legacy of Isaac Olaolu Akinyele, the “Years Me Memorial Scholarship Awards” have been established to honor his impactful contributions.
These awards aim to recognize and provide support to promising undergraduate students pursuing studies in the fields of Nutrition or Agriculture at public universities in Nigeria.
The scholarship, totaling N150,000 for 10 scholars, stands as a beacon of encouragement for dedicated individuals striving for excellence in these crucial fields.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Isaac Olaolu Akinyele Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship Awards, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Open to Nigerian citizens enrolled in federal or state-owned universities in Nigeria.
- Field of Study: Must be pursuing studies in Nutrition or Agriculture.
- Academic Level: Currently in the second or third year of full-time undergraduate study.
- Minimum CGPA: Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-grade system.
Available Programs:
The IOA Memorial Scholarship is exclusively available to aspiring undergraduate students studying Nutrition or Agriculture at public universities in Nigeria.

Applicants for the 2024 IOA Memorial Scholarships must provide the following documents:
- Essays Submission:
- 1st Essay: Explanation of qualification for the scholarship. (Maximum 300 words)
- Enrollment confirmation in the course “Evolving Leaders in Nutrition.”
- 2nd Essay: Summary of learnings from the course, ethical leadership practices in Nigeria, and an action plan.
- 3rd Essay: Vision for food systems pathways’ transformation in the next ten years and the role of Generative AI. (Maximum 250 words)
- Application Package:
- Completed application forms.
- Current transcripts.
- Personal references: One from a former employer or current professor, and a personal/character reference.
