JAMB Direct Entry Candidates To Take Part In UTME Henceforth

JAMB Direct Entry Candidates To Take Part In UTME Henceforth; In a recent statement, JAMB has announced a new policy regarding direct entry admission into Nigerian universities. Candidates seeking direct entry admission will now be required to participate in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This change aims to verify the authenticity of the certificates presented by direct-entry candidates.

GAIN ADMISSION INTO ANY NIGERIAN UNIVERSITY WITHOUT JAMB – REGISTER FOR IJMB TODAY

The decision was made during a management committee meeting held to address the challenges observed during the 2023 Direct Entry registration process.

According to JAMB’s statement, “In order to address loopholes and prevent abuses in the Direct Entry admission processes, a major policy change will be implemented.

All Direct Entry candidates, including those seeking admission into Year Two in universities, will now be mandated to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) alongside other candidates. This requirement will ensure that the possession of A’ level certificates by these candidates is justified.”

This policy change is part of JAMB’s continuous efforts to improve the education sector in Nigeria by promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance. It also reflects the Board’s commitment to changing the negative perception surrounding A’ level admissions into higher institutions in the country.
