JAMB registers 1,072,122 UTME candidates, deadline remains February 26th 2024; As the 2024 UTME registration administered by JAMB progresses into its fourth week, the board has reported a total of 1,072,122 candidates registered thus far, according to the latest update provided in its weekly bulletin.
Prospective candidates are strongly advised to complete their registration process before the designated deadline, as there will likely be no extension granted.
During a recent inspection tour of CBT centers in Ibadan conducted by Mr. Olugbenga Akintola, the Acting Director of the Ibadan Zonal Office of JAMB, emphasis was placed on the crucial necessity of strict adherence to the Board’s directives.

Specifically, it was stressed that candidates must be individually authenticated through their unique profile codes and ePINs received via mobile phones before any registration is undertaken. This measure is intended to prevent issues such as group registrations and data mismatches which have occurred due to oversight or negligence in the past.
It’s worth noting that all prospective candidates for the 2024 UTME were mandated by the Board to present their profile codes and e-PINs, obtained from JAMB’s USSD code 55019 or 66019, on their mobile phones during registration.
Instances have arisen in previous years where errors in candidates’ personal information, such as names, dates of birth, and state/local government of origin, have caused complications. In many cases, applicants have had to undergo the cumbersome process of requesting corrections, with no guarantee of success.
Therefore, strict adherence to authentication procedures is imperative to ensure smooth and accurate registration processes for all candidates.
