Kwara CBT facility is suspended by JAMB for breaking the guidelines; The Damdav CBT facility in Ilorin, Kwara state, has been suspended by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) due to a violation of its operating procedures.

The board’s registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede made the announcement when he paid an unscheduled visit to about seven registration centers in the Ilorin metropolis on Monday, January 30.

He added that the proprietor of the Damdav center had only installed one closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera, which caused Oloyede to conclude that the center had been suspended. He said that until “such things are remedied,” the center would not be permitted to register students or administer tests.

He added that as of Sunday, January 29, 445,081 candidates had registered for the 2023 UTME and that by the deadline of February 14 registration for 1.8 million candidates is anticipated.

Oloyede said in response to the prospect of a registration deadline extension,

“We are almost there. As you can see, some of our people will wait until the very last minute to register. An extension is not possible.
