The approval came as a result of a resource verification exercise conducted in April of this year by panels of experts from the NUC on the twenty (20) new programs housed in the university’s four newly established faculties and schools: the School of Library, Archival and Information Science, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, and Faculty of Environmental Sciences.

The programs will run full-time beginning with the 2023–2024 academic session, according to the NUC’s letter of approval, which the University received on Friday, July 7, 2023.

In response to the announcement, the vice chancellor thanked Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State and a visitor to the institution, for providing the direction and encouragement necessary to realize the objective. He also congratulated the entire university community on its success.
