LASUED Receives 66 NUC Accreditations For Programs; The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) (previously Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, AOCOED) to launch 66 new undergraduate programs.
The university’s Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.B. Lafiaji-Okuneye, disclosed this at the inaugural meeting of the senate, which was inaugurated by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Alhaji Sekinat Yusuf at the main campus in Oto/Ijanikin.
She said that 67 programs were submitted for accreditation, but one, Civic Education, was rejected because the NUC could not discover a Bench Mark Academic Standard for the course. The approved programs will be implemented beginning with the 2022/2022 academic session.
