Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria revised guidelines for verification of certificate; The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria wishes to inform all applicants seeking Verification of Certificate(s) to foreign Nursing Boards Council about the revised guidelines and requirements. Kindly adhere to the following:

GAIN ADMISSION INTO ANY NIGERIAN UNIVERSITY WITHOUT JAMB – REGISTER FOR IJMB TODAY

  1. Visit http://licence.nmcn.gov.ng and log in to initiate the verification application by clicking on the verification application link.
  2. Pay a non-refundable fee per application for verification to Foreign Boards of Nursing as specified on the portal. This fee will cover the cost of courier services to your institution(s) of training, place of work, and the Foreign board.
  3. Ensure you have a minimum of two (2) years of post-qualification experience from the date of issuance of your permanent practicing license. Applications with provisional licenses will be rejected outright.
  4. Provide a letter of Good Standing from the Chief Executive Officer of your place(s) of work and the last nursing training institution attended. These letters should be addressed directly to the Registrar/CEO, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Note that the Council will not accept such letters through the applicant.
  5. Maintain an active practicing license with a minimum of six months to the expiration date.
  6. Upload Certificate(s) of Registration only. Notification of Registration is not acceptable.
  7. You will receive prompt notices via your email and dashboard regarding the status of your verification application.

Please take note of the following:

a. Processing of verification applications takes a minimum of six (6) months. b. Ensure all requirements are complete before initiating the verification application, as incomplete documentation will not be processed. c. The implementation of this guideline takes effect from 1st March 2024. d. All pending verification applications before this revised guideline will be processed accordingly.

Heads of nursing institutions are urged to disseminate the content of this circular to Nurses.
