ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING

A. HND IN PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING:

Applicants must possess a minimum of five O’Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry at not more than two sittings, along with one of the following:
- Registered Nursing (RN) certificate.
- BNSc from accredited Universities by the NUC and Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- BNSc from foreign Universities with certification verification by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Duration: 2 years (Four semesters)

B. DIPLOMA FOR HEALTH TECHNICIANS (DIRECT ENTRY):

Candidates must have 4 O’Level credit passes in WASCE or NECO in subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and any other Science subject, obtained in not more than two sittings. Duration: 3 years (Six Semesters)

C. DIPLOMA FOR HEALTH TECHNICIANS:

Academically qualified Health Assistants with at least two years of working experience and 4 O’Level credit passes in WASCE or NECO, including English language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, and any Social Science subject. Duration: 2 years (Four Semesters)

D. CERTIFICATE FOR HEALTH ASSISTANTS:

Candidates should have 5 O’Level credit passes in WASCE or NECO, including English language, Biology/Health Science, and two other subjects. Candidates with lower qualifications but with relevant working experience may also apply. Duration: 2 years (Four Semesters)

DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT HEALTH

A. DIPLOMA IN HEALTH PROMOTION AND EDUCATION:

4 credit passes in GCE, SSCE, NECO or Grade II, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, and any other subject. Duration: 2 years (Four Semesters)

B. DIPLOMA FOR ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIANS:

Candidates must have 4 credit passes in GCE/WASCE or NECO, including English Language, Biology/Health Science, and any two of the following: Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, and Agric Science, with an ordinary pass in any other subject. Duration: 3 years (Six Semesters)

C. NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY:

Applicants should possess 5 credit passes in GCE, SSCE, or NECO in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Duration: 2 years (Four Semesters)

Admission into the above programmes is through JAMB UTME.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

To apply, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the College Website: http://www.oyschst.edu.ng
Step 2: Click on the 2024/2025 admission
Step 3: On the Entrance Fee Payment Page, provide your email and phone number, and click on ‘Process’
Step 4: On the Payment Summary Page, click on ‘Pay Now’
Step 5: On the FlicksPay Page, click on ‘Continue’, and complete the payment using your ATM/DEBIT Card details
Step 6: Enter the OTP sent to your phone number to complete the payment
Step 7: Once payment is completed, Transaction Reference and Registration PIN will be sent to your email
Step 8: Click on “Complete Registration” on the Transaction Complete Page to Proceed to Registration
Step 9: Provide the Transaction Reference and the PIN sent to your email to continue your registration
Step 10: Complete your registration by providing your basic information, uploading your Passport Photograph, and submitting the form.
