PAU Releases 2023/2024 Scholarship For Undergraduate Programmes

As part of our commitment to your journey, PAU offers various financial aid opportunities for the upcoming academic year (2023/2024):

  1. PAU Scholarship for Undergraduate Programmes, 2023/2024: This scholarship is designed to support deserving students in their pursuit of education at PAU.
  2. Tuition Fee Aid/Scholarship: We provide assistance with tuition fees through this program.

Please take note that the scholarship application period for the academic session starting in 2023/2024 is from June 12, 2023, to August 11, 2023.

Fifteen percent (15%) of our students will be offered tuition fee aid/scholarships. Among them, 5% will receive virtually full scholarships, while 10% will be awarded partial scholarships.

To be eligible for a scholarship, candidates must demonstrate a track record of academic excellence and a genuine need for financial support throughout their course of study.

Here are the steps to apply for a scholarship:

  2. Scan copies of the required supporting documents and email them to academicprogrammes@pau.edu.ng. Hard copies can also be mailed or delivered to the following address: The Admissions Office

The necessary scholarship documents include:

  • Letter of Employment (for both parents, if applicable)
  • Three months’ salary slip (for both parents, if applicable)
  • Three months’ bank statements of the business account (for both parents, if applicable)
  • Recommendation letter demonstrating a lack of substantial income (if not employed or engaged in any business)
  • Additional documents may be requested if necessary.

Financial Assistance for Siblings:

If siblings are concurrently enrolled at PAU, the following discount rates apply to tuition fees:

  • 1st Child: Full tuition fee
  • 2nd Child: 10% discount on full tuition fee
  • 3rd Child: 50% discount on full tuition fee
  • 4th Child: 98% discount on full tuition fee

Work-Study Programme:

Students on scholarships and those interested can further receive financial aid through our work-study programme. Participants work various jobs at the university and are compensated based on the number of hours worked per month. The maximum weekly working hours allowed are 20.

Other Options:
In addition to need-based scholarships, we provide financing options such as a parent payment plan and the opportunity to pre-pay tuition fees (subject to any future increases implemented by the University).
