- Establish a schedule: Making to-do lists help you to remember what you need to get done. Keeping a schedule of all your activities, including assignments, exams and social events help you to set your priorities and meet your deadlines. Write your to-do lists in a small notebook, or store it in your phone or other electronic device.
- Do not procrastinate: It’s easy to say ‘I’ll do it later’. But it’s better to do things as soon as possible. Especially your assignments. Make it a point to do assignments as soon as you get home, before turning on the TV or engaging in any other recreation.
- Organize your gear: Have you ever arrived at class only to discover that you forgot your notepad, pen, or books? You can avoid the hassle! How? By packing your bag in advance, keeping your backpack neat and orderly so that you can find things more easily.
Getting organized will save you the stress of forgetting things, running late, and never seeming to have enough time for other priorities. So think about one area in which you need to get organized, then brainstorm on some ways that you can improve.
