About the MGNL Scholarship:

The MGNL program is tailored for individuals with a passion for global health, leadership, and addressing health disparities and inequities. The scholarship aims to nurture future leaders in nursing by providing a comprehensive education grounded in academic integrity and excellence.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Field of Study: Nursing (Postgraduate level)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution
  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a registered nurse (RN) and current employment
  • A non-restricted RN practice license
  • Employer support for graduate study
  • Two professional references
  • A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • A purpose statement essay linking the applicant’s leadership aspirations with the MGNL program
  • A personal interview with UGHE faculty
  • Proficiency in English for graduate-level study and communication

Who Can Apply:

The scholarship is open to candidates from African countries, looking to study at UGHE’s campus in Rwanda. UGHE’s holistic admissions process considers a wide range of criteria to select candidates who align with its mission and vision.

Scholarship Benefits:

Recipients will enjoy a full tuition waiver but must commit to completing the program. The scholarship requires successful candidates to have access to a computer and high-speed internet, as 80% of the program is delivered online. While UGHE covers tuition, students are responsible for their travel, accommodation outside Butaro campus, visa fees, personal items, and living expenses.

Program Duration:

The scholarship lasts for 2 years, combining online learning with periodic campus visits for exams.
