Ohadoma was ousted as the HoD, according to the university’s Registrar, Gabriel Egbe, who made the news in a statement released on Monday, January 23, 2022, for “consistently flouting” the university Senate’s rules against extortion and the collecting of prohibited levies from students.

Ohadoma, who was also the course coordinator for Principles of Pharmacology 322, allegedly charged and fraudulently collected N3,200 from students for what he referred to as “practical fees.” According to reports, he allegedly sold students textbooks for up to N12,000 each, which was against school policy.

He was fired from his position as HoD and Coordinator of Principles of Pharmacology as part of the punishment, and for a year he was prohibited from engaging in any direct academic interaction with students. Additionally, he has been told to return all unauthorized funds that he took from students and show the vice chancellor proof of this return via the Director of SERVICOM within the next.
