Admission Requirements:

1. For B.Sc (Ed) & B.A. (Ed):
   • Candidates should possess a good NCE or a Diploma in relevant areas of study at Upper/Lower Credit level of at least two (2) full academic years duration, in addition to Five (5) Credits in SSCE.
   • SSCE, NECO, and NABTEB holders with at least Five (5) Credits, including Mathematics and English, can be admitted to begin from the First Contact.
2. For PGDE:
   • Candidates must have at least a Degree or HND or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized institution.

Method of Application:

Interested applicants can obtain the forms online through the University Web Portal (portal.unijos.edu.ng). The application fee is N10,000.00. Follow the steps on www.remita.net, selecting “Federal Government Agency” and choosing “University of Jos” as MDA and “Institute of Education” as Service/Purpose.

Forms can also be purchased at the Institute of Education Finance Office.

All completed forms with photocopies of credentials must be submitted on or before 7th July 2024 to:

Important Information for Applicants:

1. The programme duration for candidates with NCE, Diploma, and IJMB will now be 4 years instead of 5 years.
2. Secondary school graduates can apply and be admitted into the Part-Time Programme.
3. The Institute of Education has resumed operations at the Bauchi Road campus of the University of Jos.
