UNILAG Invites Applications for Postgraduate Programmes – 2024/2025

The mode of study includes Full Time, Part Time, Executive, and Open Distance Learning (ODL) options as applicable.

GUIDELINES FOR APPLICATION:

1. Application Forms will be available from Monday, February 26th to Friday, August 30th, 2024.
2. Completed Application Forms are to be submitted ONLINE no later than Friday, September 13th, 2024.
3. Visit the School of Postgraduate Studies University of Lagos Portal at http://spgs.unilag.edu.ng and click on the 2024/2025 Applications link.
4. Confirm the availability and your eligibility for the desired course.
5. Click the “Application Form” link and select the Postgraduate option from the Application Type menu.
6. Complete the Pre-Application Form to obtain a Payment Reference Number. (Please print the payment advice).
7. Make a non-refundable payment of N30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand Naira Only) for the Form and charges through either:
   • Remita Payment: At any commercial bank using the RRR number displayed on the payment advice.
   • Online Payment: Click the PayNow link to make payment directly on the portal with your bank debit card.
8. After payment, return to the School of Postgraduate Studies website, click the 2024/2025 Application link, then “Continue Application” link. Log in with your ‘Payment Reference Number’ and provide your surname in lowercase as the password.
9. Complete the Application form and upload a digital passport photograph (jpeg format) not exceeding 15KB in size, with a white background and dimensions of width: 275 pixels or 35mm, height: 314 pixels or 40mm. (Failure to comply may lead to disqualification.)
10. Click the “SUBMIT FORM” button if the information is correct. Candidates are advised to submit the form only after completing it, as editing after submission incurs a N1,000 charge.

Applicants are to note the following:

• Read the requirements for desired programmes carefully to confirm eligibility.
• Candidates awaiting Bachelor’s degree results, undergoing Postgraduate programmes, or Nigerian citizens who have not completed NYSC assignments are not eligible.
• Holders of Degrees from Outreach/Satellite campuses are not eligible.
• Upload every credential listed on the application form for admission.
• Academic Transcripts must reach the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies by the beginning of registration/screening exercise via postage or email to adminsecspgs@unilag.edu.ng.
• M.Phil./Ph.D. candidates must contact relevant Departments for Supervisor availability/vacancies before applying.
• Dates for ONLINE Qualifying Examinations and any additional information will be provided regularly on the University of Lagos, School of Postgraduate Studies website: http://spgs.unilag.edu.ng
• Entrance/Qualifying Examinations are scheduled for the week of September 23rd to 28th, 2024.
