Admission Requirements
Undergraduate Degree Programmes
Candidates must have one of the following:
- NCE with credit in one or two teaching subjects
- A-Level Passes in GCE/IJMB/NABTEB/JUPEB
- ND/OND for selected courses (Arabic, Christian Studies, History, Human Kinetics, Health Education, Islamic Studies, Computer Science, Educational Technology, Technology Education)
- Five O’ Level Credits, including English and Mathematics
Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
- Bachelor’s degree with at least Third Class Honours
- Higher National Diploma (HND) with Upper Credit
Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Technology (PGDET)
PRACTICE PAST QUESTIONS HERE (JAMB, WAEC, NECO, POST-UTME)
- B.Ed., B.A. (Ed.), B.Sc. (Ed.), B.Tech. (Ed.) with Third Class Honours
- B.A., B.Sc., B.Tech. with Third Class Honours, plus PGDE
Master of Education (M.Ed.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education with at least Second Class (Lower Division)
- Bachelor’s degree in another discipline with Second Class (Lower Division) plus PGDE
- Third Class Honours in Education plus PGDET with a minimum of 60% pass
Sub-Degree Diploma Programmes
- Human Kinetics and Health Education – Five O’ Level credits, including English and Mathematics
- Arabic Education – Five O’ Level credits or a Higher Islamic Studies Certificate (HISC) with Arabic

Application Process
Registration Requirements
- Undergraduate applicants must register online with JAMB at the JAMB Facility Portal
- Postgraduate and diploma applicants must apply through the University of Ilorin website
Application Fees
- Postgraduate and Postgraduate Diplomas – ₦25,000
- Undergraduate and Sub-Degree Diplomas – ₦10,000
- Payments must be made online using ATM cards. Cash payments are not accepted.
Important Dates
- Application Period – 10th February 2025 to 24th March 2025
- Masters’ Qualifying Examinations – Date to be announced via email and the University of Ilorin website
- Exam Venue – Institute of Education, Mini-Campus, University of Ilorin
- Exam Time – 9:00 AM
