About The Scholarship:
The University of Alberta Graduate Entrance Scholarship, administered by the Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (GPS), aims to support highly ranked applicants from their respective departments. This scholarship is available to both domestic and international students.
Application Deadline:
The deadline for the University of Alberta Graduate Entrance Scholarship program to study in Canada is April 15, 2024.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Stipend value: $17,500 for Master’s; $21,000 for Doctoral.
- Additional support: Domestic students receive an extra $7,100, and international students receive an extra $10,000 to help cover fees. The funds are directed to the student’s tuition and fees account.
Eligibility Requirements: Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Admission in January 2024, May 2024, July 2024, or September 2024.
- Newly admitted in a master’s or doctoral program.
- Open to domestic and international students.
- Open to course-based or thesis-based students.
- Admission GPA of 3.7 or higher.
- Full-time registration during the award period: September 1, 2024 – August 31, 2025.
Application Procedures:
Prospective and newly admitted students cannot directly apply for this scholarship. Only students admitted to the specified terms listed under eligibility may be considered, and they must be nominated to GPS by their admitting department.
