The Management of the University has observed an increase in the presence of individuals without defined business or mission on the campus premises. This situation has led to challenges in controlling access to the University campus and facilities, posing potential security risks to both our esteemed staff and students.
In response to this concern, the Vice Chancellor has issued a directive effective from Friday, 1st March, 2024, requiring all students to carry and display their Student Identity Cards while on campus.
Key Points:
- Compulsory ID Card Usage: All students are required to wear their Student Identity Cards visibly whenever they are within the University premises.
- Access Restrictions: Students without their ID cards will not be permitted to enter the following areas: i. The University campus ii. Lecture rooms iii. Examination halls
This directive is essential for maintaining the safety and security of our academic community. We urge all students to comply with this requirement to avoid any inconvenience or disciplinary action.
Your cooperation in adhering to this directive is greatly appreciated. Let us work together to ensure a secure and conducive learning environment for everyone.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
