Made a point. Manchester United defeats previously immaculate Arsenal behind Antony and Rashford.

Marcus Rashford scored twice in the second half to help Manchester United defeat Arsenal 3-1 at Old Trafford.

Upon joining United, Antony scored.
Saka scored a point for the Gunners.
Rashford ended the match with two goals in the second half.

WHAT OCCURED? Antony made it 1-0 on his first United start after VAR overturned Gabriel Martinelli’s goal for Arsenal. On the hour, Bukayo Saka pulled his team even before two goals from Rashford gave his team the victory.

 

 

THE BIGGER PICTURE: Despite a strong effort, Arsenal’s perfect record of victories came to an end in this, their first significant test of the new campaign. United, meanwhile, delivered yet another powerful effort that provided more evidence that their dismal performances in the first two games of the season were an aberration.
