Lately Nigeria has been facing numerous security challenges, in the past 4 years the following crimes have been in the rise.
Grand theft auto
Rape
Murders
And a crime that seems to be part of the Nigerian state culture “Kidnappings”
In a statement issues by the Police PPRO Prince Muyiwa Adejobi via his Twitter handle, he informs the public about the new development.
He said
BETTER SECURITY: IGP is discussing with the NCC and putting measures in place to have and activate the Police short code, 933, which will soon be rolled out to ease communication and sharing of information. We are sure this drive will definitely boost our operations and service delivery. So we admonish Nigerians to be patient and believe in our system, as the system still works. We will surely overvome this present condition and stand tall to celebrate in Nigeria. Nigeria is our common heritage that must be guided and protected. Thanks.
