It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of the beloved comic Nollywood actor, Oyebamiji Quadri, fondly known as Sisi Quadri. He breathed his last on Friday, today, in his hometown in Osun State after a brief illness. He was 45 years old.
Sisi Quadri was renowned for his witty and humorous performances in Yoruba movies and more recently in social media skits. His ability to deliver quick jabs and quips endeared him to many fans across Nigeria.
The actor passed away at the general hospital in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, where he had been undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness.
Coincidentally, Quadri’s demise occurred on the release date of his latest movie, “Anikulapo: Rise of the Specter,” where he portrayed one of the three ghosts in the mystical epic series directed by Kunle Afolayan.
His colleagues in the industry have taken to social media to confirm the sad news and express their condolences. Nollywood actress, Abiola Bayo, mourned his death on Instagram, writing, “You will be greatly missed Sisi Quadri. May your soul rest in perfect peace. May God comfort all your loved ones.”
The entertainment industry has lost a talented and cherished member, and Sisi Quadri’s legacy will continue to live on through his memorable performances. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family, friends, and fans during this difficult time. May his soul find eternal peace.
