    The Kwara State Police Command announced the arrest of a suspect linked to the tragic death of Toyin Bamidele, a student from the Federal Polytechnic in Offa, Kwara. The Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, disclosed this in a statement released to journalists in Ilorin.

    The unsettling incident occurred when the lifeless body of the HND I student was discovered in her residence at the Dapson Extension area of Offa, covered in blood, on November 16 at approximately 5:20 p.m. The Divisional Police Headquarters in Offa received this distressing information.

    Upon receiving the report, a team, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Offa Division, promptly proceeded to the scene. Initial examinations uncovered signs of violence on the victim’s face and neck.

    The statement confirmed that the deceased was pronounced dead by a medical professional at Wale Clinic and Hospital, where her body was taken. Subsequently, her remains were placed in the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    In the pursuit of justice, the police took a suspect into custody for their alleged involvement in the case. The individual is assisting the authorities in their ongoing investigation.
