Suspected assassins kill UNIZIK lecturer

The deceased who was a lecturer in the Faculty of Education was reportedly shot four times in his chest, leading to his death.

According to reports, the attackers broke into the lecturer’s home in the early hours of Tuesday while he was leaving his home in a Toyota Corolla. The attackers shot him at close range, aiming at his chest region as he tried to get away.

The lecturer was brought to the General Hospital Amaku, where a doctor verified his death before the gunmen reportedly fled the scene after carrying out their plan.

Chika Ene, the interim director of information and public relations at UNIZIK, confirmed the occurrence but claimed she hadn’t yet had all the information.
