The Himalayas is a mountain range in Asia, which spans across several countries including Nepal, India, Bhutan, Tibet (China), Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is the highest mountain range in the world, with its highest peak, Mount Everest, standing at 8,848 meters (29,029 feet) above sea level.
The Himalayas are known for their incredible natural beauty, as well as their importance to the people who live in the region. The range is home to numerous rivers and glaciers that provide water for millions of people in the surrounding areas, and the mountains themselves have spiritual significance to many of the local cultures.
In addition to Mount Everest, the Himalayas are home to many other famous peaks, including K2, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu. The range is also known for its challenging and dangerous climbing routes, which attract mountaineers and adventurers from all over the world.
