Twenty years ago, Richard A. Jones was mistakenly identified as one of the robbers in a lineup. Despite being innocent, the 25-year-old father of two daughters found himself facing the consequences.

What made matters worse was the uncanny resemblance between Richard and another inmate with the same first name. Throughout his time in prison, the two men were constantly mistaken for each other by fellow inmates.

Eventually, it was revealed that Amos, the doppelgänger Richard had encountered behind bars, was the actual perpetrator of the robberies. Tragically, Richard had already spent 19 long years incarcerated for a crime he had not committed.

Now 42 years old, Richard has been released from prison and is seeking justice. He has filed a lawsuit, demanding $1.2 million in damages. One can only hope that he receives the compensation he deserves.
