Ibadan Poly bans pregnant students/newborn babies from campus; The Polytechnic in Ibadan’s moral code prohibits pregnant students, infants, and others from being on campus.

The Polytechnic in Ibadan has made it unlawful for female students who are expecting or nursing to bring their children inside the classrooms or dorms.

The morals code that the polytechnic’s governing council ratified made the decision clear.

Students who publicly embrace on campus will be suspended for one semester, according to the polytechnic.

The polytechnic’s spokesman, Adewole Soladoye, affirmed the rigorous moral code.

“This is not a nursing home, the school. Is it appropriate to bring young children to lectures? According to Mr. Soladoye, it is unquestionably a distraction. They may freely have children. However, they need to find a daycare center for their infants.

The school’s governing board advised pupils to avoid inappropriate apparel and stated that certificates would only be given to those who were “upright” in their academic pursuits and moral behavior.

THE POLYTECHNIC, IBADAN, INDECENT DRESSING/POSTURE NOTICE TO NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS

Certificates of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, are awarded to Students found worthy in both academic pursuits and good character.

Students are required to abide by the Institution’s Standard and code of conduct, of which Indecent Dressing/Posture is one.

The Management, on behalf of the Governing Council, has approved for implementation of the under-listed Sanctions for the following categories of Indecent Dressing/Posture.

2. Coloured Hairstyles. One (1) Semester suspension

3 Hair Braiding for Males. Two (2) Semester suspension

6. Earring for Males/Cowries for Females. One (1) Semester suspension

7. Unconventional Wearing of Face Cop/ Fez Cap. One (1) Semester suspension

8. Tattered Jeans. One (1) Semester suspension

9. Micro/Mini Dress. One (1) Semester suspension

10. Crop Tops/Jump Tops. One (1) Semester suspension

11. Off Shoulder Clothes. One (1) Semester suspension

12. Backless Clothes. One (1) Semester suspension
