Currently, the SMS option is the sole operational channel for checking JAMB 2024 scores. However, the JAMB portal will soon be updated for candidates to access and print their results. It’s common to encounter technical difficulties or other issues when attempting to check JAMB 2024 results. Here’s a breakdown of common errors candidates might face and how to overcome them:

1. “Unable to Find Your Results” Error on JAMB Portal
This error often signifies an incorrect registration number or a mismatch between the entered details and those on JAMB’s database.
Solution:

- Verify details: Make sure you’re on the correct website and enter your details accurately.
2. “The Results checking website is down” Error on JAMB Portal

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) have initiated a 7-day national strike to protest against what they perceive as unfair treatment and disparity in the payment of withheld salaries by the Nigerian Federal Government. This strike has led to the cessation of services by workers in various departments such as registry, bursary, works and maintenance, security, and student affairs across public universities in Nigeria.
Mohammed Ibrahim, the President of SSANU, announced the strike on Channels television, expressing frustration over the lack of communication from government representatives. He specifically noted the absence of outreach from Labour Minister Nkiruka Onyejeocha, contrasting it with the more responsive approach of former Labour Minister Chris Ngige.
The unions have warned that if their demands are not addressed by the end of the 7-day period, they will consider further actions. Police arrest kidnapper posing as lunatic in Lagos
The Nigeria Police Force has issued a cautionary advisory to citizens, urging them to exercise vigilance against criminal activities.
This warning comes in the wake of the arrest of Olaseinde Ojo, a suspected armed robber and kidnapper, in Lagos State. Ojo, who adopts the guise of a lunatic to lure unsuspecting victims, was apprehended by law enforcement authorities.
Disclosing this development was the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement released on Thursday. Adejobi highlighted the ongoing efforts of the NPF in combating crime nationwide.
He mentioned notable achievements, including the apprehension of several criminals involved in heinous acts, by operatives in Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
One such arrest occurred at the Post Office, Isokoko, where Olaseinde Ojo was nabbed for his involvement in armed robbery and kidnapping activities. Ojo’s modus operandi involved masquerading as a lunatic to deceive his victims before perpetrating crimes against them.
Furthermore, another arrest was made along Dolphin Bridge, where a dispatch rider named Samson Shina was found in possession of a locally made pistol and charms.
Additionally, in the FCT, operatives conducting stop-and-search duties apprehended a motorcycle carrying three passengers, one of whom was Usman Musa. Upon inspection, a locally fabricated Beretta pistol with live ammunition was discovered in their possession. Subsequent searches at their premises yielded counterfeit US dollars amounting to $5,800, along with other incriminating items.
In light of these developments, the NPF emphasized the importance of citizens remaining vigilant and prioritizing their safety. With rising incidents of theft, defilement, and assault, individuals are urged to adopt proactive measures. This includes being observant of their surroundings, particularly in unfamiliar or poorly lit areas, and securing their belongings. Furthermore, any suspicious activities should be promptly reported to the authorities for necessary action.

This directive is in compliance with the decisions of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government at its extraordinary summit on February 24, 2024, in Abuja. ECOWAS leaders had agreed to lift economic sanctions against the Republic of Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Guinea.
The President has directed that the following sanctions imposed on the Republic of Niger be lifted immediately:
(1) Closure of land and air borders between Nigeria and Niger Republic, as well as ECOWAS no-fly zone on all commercial flights to and from Niger Republic.
(2) Suspension of all commercial and financial transactions between Nigeria and Niger, as well as freeze of all service transactions, including utility services and electricity to Niger Republic.
(3) Freeze of assets of the Republic of Niger in ECOWAS Central Banks and freeze of assets of the Republic of Niger, state enterprises, and parastatals in commercial banks.
(4) Suspension of Niger from all financial assistance and transactions with all financial institutions, particularly EBID and BOAD.
