  • Eligible Countries: Citizens of all nationalities are eligible to apply.
  • Entrance Requirements: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Shawnee Scholar Award: This highly competitive scholarship will be given to eight deserving students. You will be considered for this prestigious award if you have an ACT score of 30 or higher or a SAT (combined reading/math) score of 1320+ and a high school grade point average of at least 3.8/4.0 scale. Those under consideration will be asked to submit work samples.
  • Shawnee Achievement Award: If you have an ACT score of 27 and a higher or an SAT (combined reading/math) score of 1210+ and a high school grade point average of at least 3.8/4.0 scale you will be considered for this award.
  • Shawnee Excellence Award: If you have an ACT score of 25 and a higher or an SAT (combined reading/math) score of 1130+ and a high school grade point average of at least 3.6/4.0 scale you will be considered for this award.
  • Shawnee Success Award: You will be considered for this award if you have an ACT score of 23 or higher, a SAT (combined reading/math) score of 1060+, and a high school grade point average of at least 3.4/4.0 scale.
  • Blue & Gray Award: You will be considered for this award if you have an ACT score of 21 or higher or a SAT (combined reading/math) score of 980+ and a high school grade point average of at least 3.2/4.0 scale.

Application Procedure

How to Apply: Complete 3 easy steps to be considered for one of our merit-based scholarships.

  • Apply to Shawnee State.
  • Application for admission will be used as your application.
  • Send ACT/SAT score to the Office of Admission. Send your current high school grade point average to their Office of Admission.
  • English Language Requirements: Students whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English by submitting satisfactory scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
