UNIUYO Releases 2022/2023 JUPEB/Basic Studies Supplementary Admission Form; Applications are being accepted from suitable individuals for admission to the University of Uyo’s non-residential, one-year Basic Studies program for the academic year 2022–2023.
The Basic Studies program is meant to get students ready for tests given by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board consortium (JUPEB). Holders of the JUPEB certificate would then be admitted to the University of Uyo’s 200-level degree program through Direct Entry JAMB in the following courses:

UNIUYO Basic Studies Admission Requirements
Candidates for the Basic Studies program must have earned credits in at least five (5) “O” Level subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, Economics, Literature in English, and Government, in no more than two sittings of the GCE, SSCE (WAEC/NECO or NABTEB). If they meet the prerequisites for the courses, successful JUPEB exam candidates will be admitted to the University of Uyo’s 200-level degree programs after the program’s conclusion.
NOTE: A JAMB Score is not required for admission into this program. Candidates who took the 2022 JAMB can also apply as there will be no supplementary application for this program.
How to apply for UNIUYO JUPEB Admission Form
Eligible candidates should pay a non-refundable deposit in the sum of N15,500.00 (fifteen thousand five hundred naira) only via Remita Payment Platform.
Online Registration and Payment Instruction
- Visit https://uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals/ or uniuyo.edu.ng (Click on e-portals link)
- Select Basic Studies Link and Click on Create Account Link
- Enter your details and click on Create Account Button
- Click on Make Payment
- Select Bank Option or Card Option
- Click on Generate e-Invoice (Bank Option) or Online Payment (Card Option)
- Click on Print e-Invoice (To generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number to make payment at any Bank Branch)
- For card option, select the payment type and click pay. On the payment platform displayed, enter your card details and click the “Pay” button
- After payment at the bank or via card, return to the portal and click on Login Form Link and enter your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number generated, to complete your registration.
Note:
- The same passport photograph used for online registration will be used during the screening exercise and for registration after the offer of admission.
- No complaint of wrong Bio-Data or blank photograph will be entertained after submission.
- Candidates who up-load wrong bio-data will automatically be disqualified.
