Eligibility:

This global contest is open to graduate students from all over the world, encouraging entries that demonstrate theoretical grounding and practical solutions to international development issues, particularly those affecting social inclusion.

The Challenge:

Participants are invited to contribute their unique ideas focused on youth empowerment. The contest seeks interdisciplinary collaboration among three to five enrolled master’s students from across the globe, aiming to tackle relevant development problems with innovative approaches.

Prizes:

The competition will award five prizes across five geographical categories:

• Universities located in Africa
• Universities located in Asia
• Universities located in Europe
• Universities located in North America and Oceania
• Universities located in South America

Selection Criteria:

Submissions will be evaluated by an interdisciplinary academic steering committee, which will shortlist semi-finalists. These entries will be showcased on the competition’s website and reviewed by an independent jury composed of experts from academic, governmental, and private sectors.

Five finalist teams, one from each continent, will be invited to Geneva (with covered travel and accommodation expenses) for an oral presentation to defend their proposals and respond to questions from the jury and the public.

Awards:

The contest distributes a total of 20,500 CHF in monetary prizes:

• The winning project receives CHF 10,000
• The two second-place teams each receive CHF 5,000
• The two third-place teams each receive CHF 2,500
